GameStop CEO George Sherman to step down

GameStop said on Monday Chief Executive Officer George Sherman will step down on July 31, 2021, or earlier once a successor is appointed.

Sherman was named CEO in April 2019.

“GameStop appreciates the valuable leadership that George has provided throughout his tenure,” Ryan Cohen, Chewy co-founder and GameStop’s incoming chairman of the board, said in a statement. “He took many decisive steps to stabilize the business during challenging times.”
